The lab traveled to Melbourne, Florida for the FASEB Science Research Conference on the Consequences of Aneuploidy (September 28 – October 1, 2026), with a selected short talk and three posters:

  • Short talk (Floris): Break-induced replication repositions ribosomal DNA and alpha-satellite arrays to chromosome ends in human ALT cancers
  • Poster (Griffin): KaryoScope: alignment-free in silico cytogenetics detects clinically relevant structural variants in acute myeloid leukemia and multiple myeloma
  • Poster (Mimi): Telomere dysfunction in human astrocytes drives acrocentric chromosome instability and nucleolar reorganization
  • Poster (Daniel): Alignment-free resolution of chromatin organization across repetitive DNA in telomerase- and ALT-positive cancer cells
